Sound Baths
A sound bath is an experience of being immersed in sounds that promote relaxation and meditation.
The sound vibration produced during a sound bath has a direct effect on the body. Studies show that it has the power to induce meditative states, decrease blood pressure, and reduce stress hormones, leading to improved health and well-being.
After a sound bath, it is common to feel a significant reduction in stress and anxiety as well as an improvement in mood and increase in mental clarity.
What Can I Expect?
A sound bath is a practice of rest and stillness, so participants will be sitting or lying in a comfortable position for the best experience. Sound baths can be anywhere from 15 minutes to 75 minutes long, depending on the desired effect. A shorter sound bath is ideal for a quick energy boost, and can help increase mental clarity and focus. A longer session, on the other hand, will provide more significant stress relief and relaxation.
At the start of each session I’ll lead a short meditation to help ease everyone into a relaxed state where they are able to receive the benefits of sound vibration. I’ll then play various instruments, which may include crystal singing bowls, gongs, drums, shakers, and chimes. At the end of the session, I’ll gently guide everyone back from their meditative state and into conscious awareness.
